Eligibility

Who can join

Anyone working in medicine can join GAIM — in Georgia or abroad.

  • Internal medicine residents — the Academy's main beneficiaries, with full access to every programme.
  • Physicians — specialists in internal medicine and its subspecialties, and practising and junior doctors in neighbouring specialties.
  • Medical students — with access to the academic material and the projects.
  • Colleagues in medicine-related professions — anyone interested in evidence-based education and in working with colleagues.

Membership does not depend on where you work, which institution you belong to or which country you are in: GAIM is an independent organization, affiliated with no hospital and no political organization.

How joining works

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who reviews applications?

Applications are reviewed by the GAIM board.

How long does the review take?

Usually a few days. We will let you know the decision by email.

I already registered through the Google Form. Do I need to apply again?

No. Your details have already been transferred. Sign in with the same email address you gave in the form, and your account will be linked to your record automatically.

Does membership cost anything?

No. GAIM membership is free.

Can I watch a Morning Report later?

Yes. Every Morning Report is recorded. The recordings are on GAIM's YouTube channel and in the library, on the page of the matching presentation.

What is in the library?

Morning Report slides and recordings, flowcharts, Evidence Briefs and videos. Members can open everything; website visitors see the list of materials and the public ones.

What are CME and GAIM credits?

GAIM credits are GAIM's internal record of your participation and contribution — for example attending a Morning Report, presenting one or writing an Evidence Brief. The board sets the rules for awarding them.

GAIM's activities do not award officially recognised CME (continuing medical education) credits at this stage — we plan to seek accreditation and will let members know. The CME section of My GAIM records the credits you earn at accredited events run by other organisations, so that all your records are in one place and on your CV. You can add such a credit yourself under Credits in My GAIM, by uploading its certificate. You are free to generate your CME summary, download it and share it with the relevant bodies or anyone you choose.

How do I update my details?

Sign in to My GAIM and open the Profile section.

How do I leave GAIM?

Write to us at info@gaimteam.org and we will end your membership. You can also ask us to delete your data — see the privacy policy.
